Valvemax was recently called in to demonstrate to Hunter Water the Wachs Standard LX Valve Maintenance Trailer with the industry-leading ERV-750 hands-free hydraulic valve exerciser.

The ERV-750 was used to free up an old, stuck 600mm valve at Toronto Pumping station, which had the potential to hold up upgrade works.

After applying 600ft lbs of torque, the valve finally freed up and was able to return to full operation. It can now be easily opened and closed by hand safely by an operator. The recovery of this valve saved $120,000 in critical valve replacement, as well as preventing any injuries to future operators.
